Tyttö tuli taloon - The Girl Came to the House (DVD)
A gem of Finnish comedy from 1956!
The Girl Came to the House is a fast-paced and charming comedy directed by Veikko Itkonen, set against a summery Finnish landscape. The film is full of misunderstandings, romance, and brilliant performances from our country's leading stars.
The story begins when a young and energetic teacher (Heidi Krohn) applies for a housekeeper position in the countryside. However, a surprise awaits her at the workplace: the master of the house is a sullen, misogynistic writer (Joel Rinne), who desires peace and quiet to work on his new book. When other uninvited guests also arrive at the house, a hilarious chain of events unfolds, where feelings and situations get tangled before they are finally resolved.
