Directed by Michael Bay, this adrenaline-pumping thriller follows a group of mutinous soldiers who take over the prison island of Alcatraz and threaten San Francisco with nerve gas attacks. The only ones who can infiltrate the island are chemical weapons expert Stanley Goodspeed ( Nicolas Cage ) and the only prisoner to ever escape from Alcatraz: John Mason ( Sean Connery ).
