In 1966, three young Mossad agents – Rachel (Jessica Chastain), Stefan (Marton Csokas) and David (Sam Worthington) – are sent to East Berlin to carry out a secret mission: they must capture the infamous Nazi war criminal, "the Surgeon of Birkenau", and bring him to justice. The mission ends dramatically, and the agents return home as heroes.
