When a young officer (Paul Rudd) and his beautiful girlfriend Candy (Charlize Theron) visit the institution, Homer decides to leave his safe surroundings behind. He heads to the apple orchards for work, where he encounters for the first time the realities of life, love, friendship, and difficult moral choices.
