An epic and moving war drama about brotherhood, freedom, and the dreams of youth.
Directed by Elmo Nüganen, Names in Marble (Nimed marmortahvlil) is one of the most successful and expensive Estonian-Finnish co-production films of all time. Based on Albert Kivikas's classic novel, the film takes viewers into the middle of the Estonian War of Independence (1918–1920), where schoolboys are forced to put down their textbooks and take up arms in defense of their country's independence.
