Lois & Clark focuses on Clark Kent (Dean Cain)'s arrival in Metropolis and his work at the Daily Planet newspaper, where he meets the ambitious and fearless Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher). The series focuses on the relationship between the characters and Clark's balance between ordinary life and superheroism. The first season also introduces Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor (John Shea) in a new, refined form.
