Killing Bono (2011) – Blu-ray
"Twenty years ago, they had a dream. Then the world got Bono."
Killing Bono is a shamelessly funny, fast-paced and touching British musical comedy based on Neil McCormick's memoir. It is a story of envy, brotherly love, and how far away a rock star's life can be, even when it's within arm's reach.
Plot: In 1970s Ireland, Neil McCormick (Ben Barnes) and his brother Ivan (Robert Sheehan) are sure of one thing: they will become the greatest rock band in the world. There's just one obstacle – their schoolmate Paul has just formed his own band called U2 and taken the name Bono. Neil refuses to accept Ivan's place in U2, believing his own band will become bigger. What follows is a decades-long desperate and comical chase for fame, all while Bono and U2 rise to global icons right before Neil's eyes.
