Leo, a traveling salesman enjoying his retirement, has one great wish in his heart: to see his broken family reunited. Leo's eldest son, David, a successful plumbing entrepreneur, and his unemployed middle brother Max, have been at war for years - without exchanging a word. Meanwhile, the slob Simon is trying to find a place in his brother's warehouse.
When reconciliation fails, Leo decides to resort to drastic measures. He feigns serious illness and claims he is about to undergo a risky surgery. The white lie works: the brothers put aside their differences to support their father, and the whole family ends up on a surprising and life-changing trip to Montreal.
