Oscar winner Nicolas Cage delivers a fierce performance as Evan Lakeno, a veteran CIA agent forced into retirement just as his archenemy - a terrorist leader thought dead years ago - shows signs of life. Lake himself is suffering from a serious illness, but he refuses to give up until his final mission is completed.

The film is directed and written by the legendary Paul Schrader ( Taxi Driver , Raging Bull ). Dying of the Light is a dark, stylized, and uncompromising portrayal of obsession and memory fading that takes the viewer from the shadowy alleys of Bucharest to the coast of Kenya.
