When New York City cop John McClane ( Bruce Willis ) steps off a plane in Los Angeles, expecting nothing more than a peaceful Christmas Eve with his wife and children, he finds himself in the middle of the Nakatomi Plaza skyscraper, which has been taken over by super-intelligent criminal mastermind Hans Gruber ( Alan Rickman ) and his ruthless terrorist group.
McClane is the only one not captured, and now he must rely on his instincts, humor and guerrilla tactics to rescue the hostages. This is a movie where your shirt will get dirty, your feet will get bloody and the tension will never let up.
