The fourth season of Hovimäki takes the viewer to the early 20th century, a time when Finland is in the throes of great change. Industrialization, class conflicts, and years of oppression shake both the nobility and the common people. The paths of the Lindhof and Sepä families cross again in a dramatic way, as the old world order crumbles and the dream of an independent Finland begins to sprout.
